JV's is a great place. Look, it's a bar so there are people there doing things besides listening to the music. It gets loud sometimes. But the food is great and reasonably priced for the DC Metro area, the regulars are nice folks, the owners are very friendly and helpful, the decor is interesting, the PA seems to work well. The negatives are the stage is small but unless you have more than four performers, it is adequate, the seating is not great as half the people in booths will have their back to the stage, the vibe is not for everyone, and its not particularly kid friendly. In my opinion the pluses far outweigh the minuses. Hope to see you there.
