Position: Program Director

 

Organization Overview

One World Education (OWEd) is a nonprofit leader providing middle and high school Common Core literacy programs and publishing student essays about cultural and global issues. Since 2007, the organization has been promoting peer-to-peer learning and helping students build the skills necessary for college and career level writing.

 

Position Summary

The Program Director leads and oversees all aspects of OWEd’s programming; including its curriculum and resource development, teacher training, school and organizational partnerships, and communication.

 

Qualifications

      Former or current part-time educator

      Curriculum development / professional development experience

      Knowledge of DC schools

 

Requirements

      Available to work 20-25 hours per week (Tue-Thu) in OWEd’s Columbia Heights office.

      Access to personal laptop computer for use in and out of office.

      Strong written and oral communication skills.

      Excellent time management and organizational skills.

 

Compensation: 25K-30K
