ReThink Professional Development Workshop for Educators at the Smithsonian – Hirshhorn Museum

Join the Hirshhorn ARTWORKS team as we utilize the Museum’s Collection, Exhibitions, and Digital Media Resources to explore ideas for creative project based learning in the classroom.

Saturday, April 5

10 am to 3 pm

Technological Skill Focus: Introduction to Adobe Illustrator, Graphic Design Process and Techniques.

In this hands-on workshop participants will be introduced to Adobe Illustrator, and will use the program to create a postcard that reflects their experience at the Hirshhorn. In addition to creating a unique design, participants will discuss how the project might be adapted through different technologies and possibilities for classroom use with a focus on student engagement, problem solving, collaboration and technology skill building.

Led by Jamila Jordan, ARTWORKS Teaching Artist

Workshop will be at the ARTLAB. All Programs are free and include Breakfast.
