Youth Scholar Academy – DC  | July 13 – 18, 2014

The Institute for Responsible Citizenship’s Youth Scholar Academy is a free summer enrichment and college prep program that prepares high-potential African American young men to thrive in high school, college, and life.

 

Our intensive one-week program includes:

·         Room and board at American University

·         College-planning workshops and campus visits

·         Academic enrichment and skill-building activities

·         Personal growth and development sessions

·         Mentoring and coaching from the Institute’s collegiate scholars, staff, and alumni.

Throughout the week, students will be exposed to diverse college and career opportunities and build the tools to successfully navigate the college application process.

 

High school juniors in the District of Columbia are invited to participate in this free program from July 13 – 18, 2014. Applicants should be hardworking students who demonstrate the potential to be successful in college. There is no minimum GPA requirement, but a 3.0 or above is preferred.
