The Facts: 1 in 4 high school students will drop out this year. 2 in 3 are disengaged. And many of those who do achieve success will have done so by mastering conformity, not creativity. Their excitement — for life and learning — is being extinguished.  At The Future Project, we're fighting to revolutionize the education system, transforming schools into places of inspiration, passion, and action. 

You could say The Future Project has created the “dream job.”  We introduce a new character into high schools, a Dream Director, who works hand-in-hand with the principal, teachers and community to help inspire students to believe in themselves and to start taking action towards their dreams.  They reflect the best that community organizers, teachers, life coaches, design-thinkers and artists have to offer.

The Future Project, in its third year, is already impacting over 10,000 students in four cities - New York City, New Haven, Washington, DC and Newark.  And in the 2014-2015 school year, will join school reform efforts in Philadelphia and Detroit.
