Regarding jams:
Urban BBQ Monday night thing is not happening and hasn't been for a year or more. Anything that involves El Nopalito Mexican Bar and Grill in Silver Spring is caput (restaurant closed). Tues. Bluegrass Open Mics at American Legion in Wheaton aren't happening anymore (Barb can provide details).
