[YEP-DC] Job Posting: Urban Teacher Center seeks test monitors for Spring testing cycle

Urban Teacher Center prepares highly effective teachers who will significantly accelerate student achievement in the nation’s highest-need schools. We accomplish this by recruiting outstanding candidates, equipping them with state of the art training, and linking their certification to their students’ performance outcomes.  Founded in 2009, Urban Teacher Center is a new organization on the cutting edge of urban school reform by virtue of its link between teacher effectiveness and certification eligibility.  UTC has offices in Baltimore and in Washington, DC, with plans to expand to additional cities in 2015.

Urban Teacher Center seeks part-time test monitors to manage administration of common core aligned NWEA MAP tests in Urban Teacher Center classrooms in DC.  These tests are critical to our evaluation and accountability model.  Test monitors are responsible for implementing tests in classrooms, including: manage communication with teachers and school administrators, set up and troubleshoot testing technology, proctor testing to ensure validity of results, document details of testing at each school.  Please see attached job description for more details.  To apply send coverletter and resume to Urban Teacher Center - DC Data and Assessment Coordinator, Caitlin Fitzpatrick, caitlinf@urbanteachercenter.org.
