[YEP-DC] Job Opening at Washington Latin PCS -- Special Assistant to Head of School

Dear YEP-DC,

Washington Latin Public Charter School, a classical school serving grades 5-12, is searching for a Special Assistant to the Head of School.

Duties include:


  • Helping the Head of School with projects as needed
  • Helping the Director of Development, Director of Finance, and Director of Recruitment with special projects as needed
  • Managing the database of parent donors and support the Parent Association in their fundraising campaign
  • Preparing tax letters to acknowledge tax-deductible donations
  • Supporting our community outreach with the potential to cultivate a stronger on-line presence
Necessary skills include:
  • Extensive knowledge of Gmail, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; additional familiarity with PowerSchool, GiftWorks, and social media preferred
  • Ability to learn new computer programs quickly
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Editing/proofreading abilities
  • Flexibility regarding working in a fast-paced environment, organization, and great time-management
  • An interest or background in website design is strongly preferred
