The Homeless Children's Playtime Project runs thirteen weekly children's activity programs in five District homeless shelters and transitional housing programs where volunteers provide a safe haven from the stress of homelessness.
We are looking for a mature, flexible, self-starting college student who is willing to doing critical office-related tasks as well as support our program on-site at DC General Emergency Shelter to join our team! This is an unpaid internship for 15-20 hours/week (or more!). This is a great internship for a student interest in learning more about how a nonprofit works as well as homelessness and poverty in Washington, DC.
See attached description for more information.
