[YEP-DC] CALLING ALL BLOGGERS: YEP-DC’S NEW BLOG NEEDS YOU!

YEP-DC is excited to introduce its newest project, Recess, a blog by and for YEP-DC members!

Slated to debut this spring, Recess will showcase the diverse talents and expertise among our group of emerging educational professionals. Topics will include everything from current events and the local education scene to national research impacting millions of students across the country. Recess will not only be another forum where YEP-DC members can engage with each other, but also a platform from which we can highlight the great minds of YEP-DC and insert them into the broader educational conversation in Washington.

 

Want to be a part of this exciting, new project? Join us as a blogger! What are some best practices for using education technology in the classroom? Did you read a new report from AEI or Fordham and want to offer your thoughts? Or maybe you heard something at a YEP-DC (or another local) event that you want to elaborate on? All of these are applicable blog topics for Recess­—and a great way to build your resume. You'll work with YEP-DC editors to hone your writing skills and become a better communicator. We look forward to hearing from you!

 

Blogger Requirements:

·      You must be a YEP-DC member with an interest in education and a desire to write about it;

·      Initial commitment is one (timely) blog per month for at least six months

 

To Apply:

·      Complete the attached application and submit one writing sample to yepdc.communications@gmail.com.

 

*If you do not have a writing sample, complete the last question on the application.
