Just went to Big Bear  Its been about two hours since  I cleaned catch basins this morning. One was getting clogged from the other direction. 

So, if everyone can keep checking while the weather is not too crazy to leave the house , and keep the water flowing before the lines reach capacity...

Good morning.

Sandy has turned left so we will not get off easily. Full moon today.

Just checked my catch basins and leaves are starting to block them. Yes, my
block had leaves cleaned up by DDOT on Saturday, but it doesn't take many
to wash down to block the catch basin.

I just scooped them up and tossed into the nearest tree box. Start upstream
and work toward the catch basin or they dislodge and wash into catch basin.
it just takes a couple of minutes., so if someone could adopt a catch basin
this morning, it would be great!!!

Do it now, if you can , before rain gets heavier.

Wind picks up midday. Worst winds predicted for 6pm Monday til  3am
Tuesday.
