I believe there were only two contested races when the ballot went to press - President and 2nd Vice President. All of the other offices have one candidate who volunteered to run.
Nominations can be made from the floor this evening, as well.

Hi all -
I just wanted to provide a little clarification on the elections process. The Bloomingdale Civic Association (BCA) has a formal Nominating Committee, which was selected during the September 2012 civic association meeting. I am the chair of the 2012 Nominating Committee.
Pursuant to the BCA Constitution, "...the Nominating Committee shall present a slate for Officers and Delegates at the October meeting." As such, the publishing of the 2012 BCA ballot is not the responsibility of the BCA President; any decision to do so would be a decision made by the Nominating Committee. Publication of the 2012 BCA ballot prior to the October election was never discussed at our committee meetings.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have additional questions; that said I will present the Committee's report at the Civic Association meeting this evening.
Thanks,--On Mon, Oct 15, 2012 at 3:52 PM, Commissioner Youngblood <anc5c03@gmail.com> wrote:

But to avoid confusion tonight, according to the bylaws, if you have not paid dues before 9-15-12, you can't vote tonight for officers. If you pay tonight, you can vote for anything else that might require a vote
