[dcab-l] Beginners' banjo workshop in Manassas, Oct. 27

The Bull Run Bluegrass Music Association and NOVA Music Center will sponsor a very basic banjo workshop on Saturday, October 27, 2012, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., for children above the age of 8 (hands have to be big enough) and for adults.  The object of the event is to help participants to "get off the ground" with their pickin'.  The workshop will be all "hands on".  Bring your banjo, finger picks and enthusiasm.  There will be a charge of $5 for kids and $10 for adults to help cover costs of materials, etc. Teaching services of the instructor and assistant as well as the use of the facilities for this community event are volunteered.
