Scale your impact while participating in Common Core professional development this summer! Apply to become part of LearnZillion's Dream Team of Math and Literacy Teachers.
LearnZillion is a learning platform that helps teachers and parents meet the educational needs of every student. We are selecting 100 teachers to join the Dream Team this summer. We're looking for teachers who want to have a broader impact and who have the talent and enthusiasm to craft dynamite lesson slides and screencasts. The new deadline for submitting a round three application is Tuesday, May 22nd, 5pm (http://learnzillion.com/join). We recently received great news from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. On June 20-23rd, the Foundation will sponsor Teach Fest in Atlanta!
Over the course of the three days in Atlanta, Dream Team teachers will collaborate with each other, math and literacy coaches, and LearnZillion staff to create initial videos and lesson content and to celebrate great teaching! The event will culminate in a film festival, when teachers share their video lessons and celebrate their work. The lessons will then be shared freely with thousands, if not millions, of students, teachers, and parents on LearnZillion.com.
Each teacher selected will receive:
- An invitation to Teach Fest in Atlanta on June 20-23. Thanks to the generous support of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, all members of the Dream Team will be flown to Atlanta, expenses paid, to kick off the summer!
- Support and feedback from math and literacy experts and other talented Dream Team members
- The technology and software necessary to create lesson slides and screencasts
- $2000 compensation
- Recognition on LearnZillion's website
Dream Team members commit to creating 20 Common Core lessons between June and mid-August and participating in Teach Fest. All video lessons will be featured on the LearnZillion website and linked to professional development platforms in multiple states. All video lessons will be freely available to all teachers and students across the country.
