CONNECTING THE BIG 3 IN EDUCATION
As the District of Columbia's largest networking organization for young education professionals, YEP-DC is a platform for tomorrow's leaders to connect and collaborate around the common goal of improving education in the United States.

YEP-DC is hosting the inaugural Research to Policy, Policy to Practice Conference, designed to help current and prospective members explore ways to transition beyond their silos and better connect, coordinate, and leverage the research, policy, and practice of education.

Register today at http://yepdcpolicyandpractice.eventbrite.com/

The conference's schedule will be organized thematically, very similar to a high school student's daily schedule. As a part of this unique framing, you will have an opportunity to join several breakout discussions designed to foster collaborative, cross-sector problem solving, focused around specific topics in education. Many of the guest speakers and facilitators will be other YEP-DC members, so it promises to be an extra special event! If you'd like to showcase your sector research, policy, or practice expertise by facilitating a session, please let us know when you purchase a ticket!

Throughout the day, attendees will also have an opportunity to explore Microsoft's latest ed tech products and other cool gadgets and toys (Like Xbox 360 and Xbox Kinect consoles and games).

After attendees complete all their "classes" for the day, there's still one additional activity -- recess! The day's activities will conclude with a lively happy hour at Clyde's of Chevy Chase (5441 Wisconsin Avenue, NW). Featuring drink and appetizer specials, it will be a great way to wind down, reflect on the day, and chat with other YEP-DC members.
