Please join Communities in Schools for a briefing on their recent report on the social returns of wrap around support. Communities In Schools is a 501 (c)(3) organization focused on decreasing the school dropout rate through prevention. Their mission is to "surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life." They are active in 25 states and the District of Columbia
Communities In Schools contracted with EMSI to quantify its economic and social returns to society through a rigorous third-party investment analysis. Members of the Communities In Schools leadership team will be on hand to discuss the results of this report. The purpose of this important next step is to quantify the return on investment CIS' 113 high school-serving affiliates in its network to taxpayers, businesses, and students. The analysis also shows the economic benefits when local affiliates go from implementing parts of the Communities In Schools model in some of their high schools to full implementation in all of their high schools.
