[YEP-DC] Job Opening: Part-Time Administrative Assistant for NoVA Tutoring Company ($15-$17/hr)

Overview

We are looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our Fairfax Office and provide support to our amazing sales team.

 

 

We're looking for someone who:

 

·       Is an A-Player. You are driven to be the best. You challenge yourself by setting goals, crushing them, and helping your teammates do the same.

·       Works efficiently. You're a master multi-tasker. You can talk, type, walk, and chew gum all at the same time. Juggling multiple projects at once inspires you rather than causing stress.

·       Is a team player. You love working with others and will go above and beyond to help support your team.

·       Has some office experience.

 

What you'll do all day:

·       Represent the company. You will be the first person that parents, tutors, and students speak to when they call our office. We need someone who is professional and polished on the phone, able to take detailed messages and schedule calls.

·       Assist the staff. As a small business, everyone wears a myriad of hats. We're looking for someone who is a team player and is willing to roll up their sleeves to dive into any project the staff needs help with.

·       Become a master of efficiency. Are you someone who hates clutter? If so, then this is the role for you! We need someone who can work quickly to help our entire company become more efficient.

 

Skills You Must Bring to the Table:

·       Strong organizational skills

·       A customer-focused mindset

·       A team-player attitude and a warm, friendly personality

 

A Few Reasons Why You Might Hate It:

·       You like to focus on one thing at a time. We have to be honest, we're a small company and every team member has a variety of roles. If juggling isn't something you do well, this might not be the match for you.

·       Organization isn't your thing. Our office is a fast-paced work environment, and to do well you need to be able to prioritize tasks, keep track of documents, and manage your time well.  If color-coding isn't your thing, you might struggle in this role.

 

And a few reasons why you might love it:

·       You'll grow and learn a ton. You'll become a better business person as you immerse yourself in the world of education and entrepreneurship.

·       The work environment is amazing. We're big on both location and easy commuting. Our Fairfax office sits in the heart of downtown Fairfax with a number of restaurants and shops close by. Plus, we're right off of 123, route 50, and right off of 66, so the commute is about as easy as it gets in the DC area.

·       The team is even more amazing. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more fun, energetic, and creative group of people.  Truthfully, the majority of us are Type-A to the core, but we have a lot of fun. Trivia nights, company National games, happy hours, a fitness club, etc.

·       Your success will be recognized and appreciated. You'll be able to see your direct impact on our growth. You won't be just another cog in the wheel.
