Amplify Education is looking for a passionate Classroom Coordinator to join our growing team.
This is a short-term (temporary) position starting immediately through June 2013, with the potential for full-time employment for candidates who excel. We are looking for candidates in various locations around the country to work in local schools who are comfortable using technology and have experience working with students.
Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment. You'll play an important role as classroom support for our field trial customers.
Responsibilities:
· Maintain onsite presence in or around the field trial location
· Become an expert user of the Amplify tablet and its content
· Act as the first point of contact in the classroom; provide support for both teachers and students
· Act as a customer advocate for participating teachers (technology and/or pedagogical support)
· Maintain day-to-day knowledge of status and provide internal teams with regular updates
· Responsible for determining the order and priority of emergencies/issues, and alerting the appropriate contacts, helping to provide immediate feedback, and following up with the teams to confirm proper action was taken
· Share best practices and work with other Classroom Coordinators and Site Managers
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)
· 2+ years of experience working in a school environment or with students, preferably in grades 5-8
· Must be experienced and comfortable using a tablet and technology
· Technically savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Ability to work onsite at the field trial school
Preferred Qualifications:
· Excellent and versatile interpersonal and communication skills
· Attention to detail and strong observational skills
· Ability to perform under pressure
· Must enjoy working in a middle school environment
· Successful completion of a full background check
