- Co-teach an evening GED class in one of the five GED subjects. Math and Science are particularly in demand! Classes are once a week from 6:15-8:00 PM; day of the week depends on subject. The term runs from April 8 through June 21. All classes are co-taught by two volunteers. All volunteers are given comprehensive training before the term begins.
- Tutor a student one-on-one in one or more of the five GED subjects (Math, Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies). This opportunity operates independently of the school term. We ask for a minimum 1-hour-a-week time commitment.
All teaching is done at our main site, located at 2303 14th St. NW. Tutoring is more flexible in terms of location and time.
If you are interested, or know someone who is, please contact Jessica Wabler at jwabler@ywcanca.org. I look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks,
Jessica
