Saturday, March 16th was one busy day for the Weekend Bluegrass Concert Series as we had two phenomenal shows that day, 3 pm and 7 pm, with multi-award winning DOYLE LAWSON & QUICKSILVER. WOW is the only thing I can say about those two performances. Doyle has been performing professionally for over 50 years, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver have been a band since 1979, and they have about 35 recorded albums to their credit. They were with us once before in 2004, the second year of the Weekend Bluegrass Concert Series, and WOW was the operative word then too. Doyle lived in Herndon, Virginia back around 1978 and so we sorta welcomed him back home again on Saturday - lol. Many thanks also go out to all the folks who came out to enjoy the great music and fun these fine musicians provide. Look for the big red bus in your neighborhood -- it just might be DOYLE LAWSON & QUICKSILVER...........
