Either way, it is a fundraiser to raise scholarships to help local kids go to college that otherwise could not afford it and all the profits go to the scholarship fund. If someone competes they get a whole day of music and a barn dance for $10 which is extremely reasonable. Even if they do not compete, it is only $15 dollars in advance, which is less than many people would spend just to see the Lonesome River Band. I have to pay $15 just to go to a local barn dance too.
We do have handicapped parking and have ordered at least one handicapped portajohn to be by the stage area and there is a handicapped accessible real bathroom on site that one could drive back and forth too if they desired. I sent some photos of the area to one person who emailed directly wanting some idea of the terrain because of wheel chair worries. We are trying as hard as we can to make everyone possible happy, though with a lot of potential people, that can often be difficult.
I hope this helps in some way. I certainly did not mean to offend anyone with the festival listing or prices, and it is a charity event trying to raise money for a good cause. Thank you for taking your time to look into it.

"Thanks. I can't afford the admission price nor does there appear to be handicapped access."
Most Bluegrass Festivals or Fiddler's Conventions (Galax, Union Grove, etc.) refund 100% of the entire ticket price to those that compete, don't know how the 33% (advance sale) or 25% ( gate sale) "rebate" was arrived at; as to access for the handicapped and/or disabled, there is an indication from the Loudoun County Fairgrounds site that handicapped parking spots are available, but there is no other mention of compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act ( http://www.ada.gov/), there may be more information available from the event producers.
