[YEP-DC] VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Briya Public Charter School seeking nominations for its Board of Trustees

Briya Public Charter School is seeking nominations of people to serve on its Board of Trustees. Candidates must passionately support the school's mission, which is to provide a high-quality education for adults and children that empowers families through a culturally-sensitive family literacy model. In the school, parents learn ESL, computer, and parenting skills while their children ages 0-5 learn to read and prepare for kindergarten. Adult students also have the opportunity to earn a high school diploma or enter one of Briya's workforce development programs. Please visit www.briya.org for more information. Board candidates with expertise in adult education, early childhood education, dual-language learning, immigration, public relations/communications, real estate development, strategic planning, and/or nonprofit finance and management are encouraged. Candidates must be willing to commit to serving a minimum of a two-year term on the Board. If interested, please send a resume and cover letter to info@briya.org.
