AnLar seeks a smart, highly motivated, and passionate research associate to support a broad range of education policy and management projects for clients in Federal and State governments as well as the private and non-profit sectors. We are looking to add a versatile, independent, disciplined problem-solver to our rapidly growing team of people doing influential work. This position will provide support to national policy initiatives for clients with wide audiences and high-visibility efforts.
Responsibilities:
The qualified candidate will work with senior AnLar staff on a variety of research and operations-related topics and support various research tasks, including literature reviews, qualitative data collection and analyses, quantitative analyses, report preparation, and proposal coordination.
● Provide research support on AnLar's projects, including literature searches, data collection and secondary data analyses, and report preparation
● Conduct analyses with analytic software for quantitative data (e.g., SAS, Stata, SPSS, Excel, R).
● Draft literature reviews, papers and reports, technical assistance materials, fact sheets, and other resources
● Interact with business partners and clients
● Contribute to AnLar's marketing and business development efforts
● Collaborate with and review work of colleagues to generate ideas and ensure development of high-quality delivery of their work
Qualifications:
● Master's degree in a social science discipline, such as economics, education, sociology, public policy, or public administration (or a Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience)
● Strong qualitative or quantitative skills
● Excellent writing and communication skills
● Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
● Experience working with large datasets with advanced SAS or Stata programming skills (preferred, but not required)
● Experience with qualitative data analysis using software (e.g., Atlas.ti, NVivo) (preferred, but not required)
