Brian will discuss how educators can inspire motivation for learning among difficult to reach students and explore what leads students to become unmotivated.  Brian will also provide examples of effective methods that educators can use to help students make better choices.

Our luncheon speaker, Principal Rhonda Richetta will take you on her journey implementing restorative practices in City Springs Elementary/Middle School, a Baltimore City Public Charter School serving Baltimore's most vulnerable children.  Through restorative practices City Springs has developed into one of the most positive, productive, rich and focused environments to be found in city schools and serves as a model site for restorative practices.  Principal Richetta will share data, anecdotes, challenges, and the joy of being a restorative school.
