[YEP-DC] New YEP-DC blog post - Yoga, Mindfulness & Kids: The Value of Disconnecting

Our students are more connected than ever. For students leading stressful lives, especially those living in traumatic environments or prone to aggressive outbursts, taking time to disconnect and practice mindfulness can have endless benefits. Rebecca Kastl leads The Peaceful Child, a program which offers yoga and mindfulness classes to children in New Orleans. In the latest Recess Q&A, Rebecca explains how yoga has helped her and her students and how this growing trend of teaching mindfulness to students can help them self-regulate their emotions and focus more in class. Read it all on Recess!
