[YEP-DC] Job Posting: State Outreach Coordinator at Young Invincibles

State Outreach Coordinator Description


Position Description

Young Invincibles (YI), a national Millennial research and advocacy organization working to advance economic opportunity for young adults, seeks a State Outreach Coordinator for a one year funded position. It could be extended contingent upon performance evaluation and funding.

 

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, understands our issue areas, is flexible, personable, and has a desire to learn about other work we do throughout the organization on Health Care and Higher Education.

 

Position reports to: National Field Director

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing logistics and planning all details of events within assigned region of the United States, including traveling for events,
  • Executing and tracking grant deliverables,
  • Coordinating and strategizing outreach and partnerships with organizations and individuals which will include recruiting turnout for events and recruiting constituents to join our membership network*,
  • Consistently tracking constituent information, and entering key data into our CRM system (NGP VAN experience with this database is a plus) and following up with constituents with the goal of moving them up our engagement ladder,
  • Creating, presenting, and facilitating campaign trainings,
  • Creating content for campaign updates including but not limited to pictures, blogs, newsletters, social media
  • Managing Organizing Fellows when applicable
  • Working with the training director on presentations, and the policy and communication departments to promote events and design content
  • Designing and implementing surveys and qualitative research protocols
  • Facilitating and analyzing focus groups

*We're in the process of creating a new organizing structure that this associate will have a crucial part in implementing.

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year organizing, campaigning or political experience, (undergraduate campus organizing can be considered)
  • Creative, energetic, possessing a great attitude, and great interpersonal skills,
  • Curiosity around the intersection of health care, education, and employment for young people
  • Must be organized and able to multitask,
  • Must be comfortable with diverse audiences, as well as approachable and personable
  • Must be able and willingness to work in a fast-paced work environment in start-up atmosphere, be flexible and a self starter
  • Professional and mature in all settings,
  • A passion for Young Invincibles' mission.
