[dcab-l] DelFest tickets for resale

Hi all,

I have a friend who had to bail out of Delfest due to family
obligations. He has two four day passes and a Dry RV pass. His asking
price is $400. Not sure if he'll split them up, but maybe.

The ownership transfer process takes place through Eventbrite. That's
how he scored tickets last year, on resale.

Please contact me private if interested and I will hook you both up.

[YEP-DC] Event Posting - Emerging Leaders Program in DC area

Dear YEP members...

I run a social enterprise focused on cultivating youth and adult leaders across the talent pipeline (www.dghorgangroup.com).  We work with youth in grades K-12, college students and adults in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.  I am a former resident of DC (currently living in NYC) and am bringing one of my programs, the Frontline Talent Accelerator, to the DC area on April 29 and May 1.  Given our commitment to supporting frontline talent working in K-12 schools, after school programs, higher education institutions, and education research and policy, I am extending a special $20 off discount to all DC-YEP members and education professionals in your network.

Frontline Talent Accelerator: An Emerging Leaders Program (Washington, DC)

Are you on the frontline seeking change personally, professionally and/or in your community? If so, then register today for the Frontline Talent Accelerator in Washington, DC on either Wednesday, April 29 or Friday, May 1 brought to you by D.G. Horgan Group. This leadership development program is a hands-on, experiential learning opportunity focused on three core areas: self-discovery, relationship building, and influencing change. We explore how our personal brand is defined and how it evolves based on our attitude, strengths and actions. With greater self-awareness as the foundation, we focus on enhancing interpersonal skills which can foster and sustain relationships as the groundwork for high performing teams. We practice effectively managing up, down and across to strengthen participants' influence, and we help those on the frontline plan for and navigate change by strengthening their ability to adapt, critically think and problem solve. Using the principles and practices of design theory and storytelling, we coach individuals on how to apply creativity and innovation when inspiring, addressing or driving change. For more information and to receive a $20 partner discount, register using the code DCYEP: http://www.dghorgangroup.com/frontline/

If you have any questions, please contact me at daniel@dghorgangroup.com.

Thanks,
Daniel

[YEP-DC] PD Opportunity: EdCampMetroDC is Coming!

Have you ever been to an unconference? Well here is a great opportunity! EdCampMetroDC returns for a third consecutive year on May 9th from 8:30am to 1:00pm at Bullis School in Maryland.

Sure, everyone enjoys hearing from famous education experts at national conferences. But do you know who else knows a ton about education? You do! And other educators would be fortunate to hear of your expertise, and you may very well take away as many teaching nuggets from an EdCamp as you would from a day at a national conference — and EdCamps are free. And as a bonus, one lucky EdCamper will win a Chromebook as a door prize at the end of the day courtesy of our sponsors!

There were six EdCamps planned locally this year, and the EdCamp concept is less than five years old (learn more about EdCamps here http://goo.gl/A3pB90). So be a part of a new PD movement — learn more or register for the conference at www.edcampmetrodc.org. Hope to see you there!
