The Part-time Instructor is responsible for developing and teaching lessons in Reading, Writing, and Math to adult learners in the program. Must be able to create lesson plans that include real-life contextual learning experiences and be able to manage learners at varied academic levels. Must also be able to integrate the use of technology into the lessons, as well as utilize varied curriculum resources.
Minimum Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in education or related field with at least four years experience in the instruction of high school students or adult learners in a non-traditional educational setting. Prefer Master's degree in education or related field with, at least two years of experience teaching in a non-traditional educational setting working with adult learners.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of Windows applications; strong leadership abilities; organized, self-directed with a comprehensive knowledge of educational and social work counseling principles.
