Good afternoon Scott and Betsy,

Donna Cooper asked that I provide you with this update. As you are aware, we received a few inquiries concerning the update we provided yesterday regarding the scheduled outages that will begin on the evening of Monday, November 11th. We incorrectly noted that the transformer replacement on 1st and Adams St., NW would occur on the evening of Monday, November 11th. The transformer replacement will occur on the evening of November 12th. We sincerely regret any confusion that this wrong date may have caused. Additionally, we would also like to provide greater clarity regarding the transformer inspections that will begin on the evening of November 11th and will continue until November 13th.  We included information about the two scheduled outages; however, it is important to note that they concern different projects and are on different feeders - one being a transformer replacement and the other being a set of transformer inspections.

Transformer Replacement - 1st and Adams St., NW
In order to replace the transformer at 1st and Adams St., NW, we will need to de-energize customers on the evening of Tuesday, November 12th.  This scheduled outage will begin at  11 p.m. and is anticipated to continue until 7 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, November 13th. The customers impacted by the transformer replacement have received a door hanger notifying them of the outage. Additionally, the impacted customers received a robo call today to inform them of the outage.

Transformer Inspections - Bloomingdale Feeders 14001 and 14004
In order to inspect the transformers on Feeders 14001 and 14004, which serve the majority of the Bloomingdale community, we will need to de-energize customers for approximately 30 minutes. The transformer inspections will also begin on the evening of Monday, November 11th and will continue on the evening of Tuesday, November 12 and the evening of Wednesday, November 13. These scheduled outages will last for approximately 30 minutes and will occur between the hours of 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. The customers impacted by the transformer inspection will also receive a door hanger notifying them of the 30 minute outage.

It is important to note that the 30 minute outages will not occur at the same time for all customers on these feeders. The 30 minute outage will occur only on the particular transformer being inspected. Once the inspection is complete, service will be restored on that transformer and we will begin this same inspection process on the next transformer. Unfortunately, we cannot pinpoint each customers specific outage time during the 10 p.m. to 6 a.m timeframe as we will be inspecting several dozen transformers as a part of the inspection process.

Again, the customers impacted by the transformer inspection will receive a door hanger notifying them of the 30 minute outage that will occur between the hours of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the evenings of November 11th, 12th and 13th.

Again, we regret any confusion that occurred with the previous communication. We hope that this clarifies any confusion that occurred. We would greatly appreciate your assistance with communicating this update to the community. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any additional questions or need further clarification.

Regards,

Kirsten
