[YEP-DC] New Job Opportunity in Rosslyn, VA (Project Analyst)

Project Analyst 

The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) is looking for a dedicated professional to join their New Product & Services team.  Reporting to the Vice President for New Products and Service, the project analyst will design and/or coordinate and implement projects supporting product and service development, awareness, and operation. He/she will be responsible for developing coherent project plans, coordinating with vendors & other project team members within and outside NBPTS, managing assigned projects and programs, and monitoring and evaluating results.

Experience and Skills      

  • Understanding of and commitment to the mission of the National Board.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Board's vision of accomplished teaching.
  • Strong written and verbal skills including the ability to produce high-quality written materials.
  • Capacity to work in a collegial environment that depends heavily on teamwork.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to function within a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects within critical deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills suitable for dealing with all levels of National Board personnel, external stakeholders and contractors.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise excellent judgment, and initiate tasks where appropriate.
  • Exposure to Project Management Software, solid experience with MS Excel, working knowledge of other MS Office programs.
  • Ability to identify, organize and structure tasks.
  • Three+ years of performing program or project management, in the K12 education field a significant plus.

Education

A bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.   A combination of knowledge, skills, and record of accomplishment may be substituted for this education requirement.
