Reach Incorporated is an award-winning, early-stage organization working to address the literacy crisis in the District of Columbia. Winner of the prestigious Echoing Green fellowship, Reach has been recognized as one of the most promising new social ventures in the world. Reach Incorporated facilitates improvement in reading, across ages, by hiring and training struggling adolescent readers to tutor in DC elementary schools. Through this unique approach, Reach creates dramatic improvement for both adolescent tutors and their elementary school students. Reach creates readers. Reach creates leaders. And, by lifting two populations through a single relationship, Reach is efficiently and effectively attacking DC's literacy crisis.
