[YEP-DC] Blogging Opportunity on YEP-DC's Recess

YEP-DC is looking for two (2) contributors for the latest installment of Field Day to discuss their ideas around the proposed school boundary model changes for DC public schools, and the implications of such a policy. Contributors would use the following question to develop their responses:

In light of recent policy proposals in the District, What is the value of the geographic-based (neighborhood) school enrollment model, and has this model's benefits been eclipsed by the alternatives that the open-enrollment (school choice) model offers families?  Why or why not?

Word count of post should be 250-300 words (brief!), and you'll be connected with the other participants to enable cross-pollination of idea/contrasting perspectives. Contributions are compiled and published on Recess, encouraging YEP-DC members to continue the conversation online.

If you're interested, email Jeremy Meredith, editor of Field Day, at: jermeredith@gmail.com

Deadline: June 13, 2014.
