Musicians:
I don't know if I have every detail below correct, but here's the general request for
bluegrass musicians.
A fellow named Frank Pasqualino is directing the play "Foxfire" at Bowie Community
Theatre, in Bowie, Md, from Dec 2nd through the 18th, across 3 weekends. Foxfire is a
drama with music, written by Susan Cooper and Hume Cronyn, with music by Jonathan
Holtzman, lyrics by Susan Cooper and Hume Cronyn. It has been on Broadway, and also
a movie with John Denver playing Dillard Nations.
Frank needs a singer/guitarist for the role for Dillard Nations, a gentle, troubled man,
and a performer (Late 20’s to Mid 30’s). Dillard, a main character, has lines in the play,
as well as songs.
In addition, Frank is also looking for other bluegrass musicians--a banjo player,
a fiddle player and possibly a stand-up bass player and/or mandolin player. These
additional musicians would provide background music for the play and set the mood
of the show. They wouldn't have any lines to memorize, and they'd only be required to
rehearse a few times.
If interested, please contact Frank soon:
