[dcab-l] Songs from the South: Ridin' that Midnight Train

Music Lovers:

Here's another Rattlesnake Hill  recording from Cactus Flats, Father's Day, 2013.

Ridin’ that Midnight Train is usually associated with the Stanley Brothers, but I read somewhere that it was older than them.

Doc Watson recorded this song on a star-studded same-named album in 1986.  Ricky Scaggs has a version so fast, it melts the tracks.  But, for myself, I’ll take the Stanley Brothers version.

Musicians:

  John Brunschwyler  Banjo

  Garrett Wren          Mandolin

  Barb Diederich        Bass

  Ed Schaeffer           Rhythm Guitar

It’s 3 minutes of pure acceleration; I hope you enjoy it!
