[YEP-DC] New Post: Middle School Teacher Challenges Nation to Take a Stand Against Shorthand

Teachers are tired of seeing texting acronyms like LOL, OMG, and IDK cropping up in formal essays and classwork. An LA-based middle school teacher is challenging all her students, and people across the country, to use only proper grammar in their writing. Our blogger Monica Gray sat down with Heather Shotke, the teacher behind gramMarch, to talk about students' writing, the impact of shorthand on our society, and teaching middle schoolers.
