In the landscape of new administrations, both locally and nationally, YEP-DC is more excited than ever to announce the 5th annual Policy to Practice Conference. We feel especially well-poised to serve as a space for our community of practitioners, education leaders, and advocates to process the change and spring into action with this year's conference: "Catalyzing Change from the Bottom Up," to be held on Saturday, May 6th, 2017, kicking off Teacher Appreciation Week.
Over the past four Policy to Practice Conferences, over 1,000 young education professionals and more than 50 organizations have convened to engage across policy, practice, and research. This year's conference will feature sessions for each of those stakeholder groups, designed to foster robust and directed discussions resulting in potential solutions, recommendations, and strategies for impacting change.
