The Kruger Brothers (Jens Kruger on banjo, Uwe Kruger on guitar and vocals, and Joel Landsberg on bass) personify the spirit of innovation at the core of American musical tradition, arising from bluegrass but building on jazz or classical themes and techniques. The Kruger Brothers regularly perform with symphony orchestras and string quartets around the world.
Jens Kruger is a member of the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame, and is a recipient of the Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass Music, named 2014 Banjo Instrumentalist of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association, and is a 2016 nominee for the same award. | | | | | Old-Time Workshop with Bruce Molsky's Mountain Drifters Saturday, March 4 from 1-3 PM at McDaniel College, Westminster, MD Participants will have the opportunity to play with America's premier old-time fiddler, Bruce Molsky, as well as clawhammer banjo player Allison de Groot and guitarist Stash Wyslouch.
