The DC Bluegrass Union is excited to announce that we have been invited to participate in 2 special jams.
One will be on Saturday June 29th from 2 to 4 PM as part of the Smithsonian Institute's The Social Power of Music. Location will be on the mall. Exact location TBD.
The other jam will be at the Library of Congress on Saturday August 10th from 2 to 4 PM. Jam will be at the Thomas Jefferson Building on 1st Street SE. This is next to the Supreme Court. Jammers will have to go through a security checkpoint, so please travel lightly.
Both of these will be paperless jams, so please leave songbooks, sheet music, tablets, phones, and other visual aids at home. Bluegrassers communicate during jams and performances by looking at each other and you can't do this with your eyes focused on printed lyrics.
Since parking is very limited, please use public transit. Thanks.
