[YEP-DC] YEP-DC Education and Equity Series: Thursday, October 13th at 6:30pm

YEP-DC is announcing a new series called the Education and Equity Series. This series will look at different aspects of educational inequities in Washington, DC educational system. The series will focus on both current and historical issues affecting access and achievement within the education system. But unlike forums, these workshops have an interactive feature. Members will hear from a panel of experts and stakeholders followed by an interactive session that members can bring back. 

This first workshop, "Educators Influence in Policing in our Community" will focus on race, equity and violence prevention. Hear form community experts on how you can help address these issues in and outside of the classroom. 

It will be Thursday, October 13th at 6:30pm  at the Thurgood Marshall Center, 1816 12th St NW, Washington, DC 20009 (U Street). The event is free:
