[dcab-l] "Summertime" for your 4th of July

Music Lovers:

July 4th  2016, will be here soon!

Here is our version of Gershwin's  "Summertime",  sung by my partner Barry Wendell

from "All Mixed Up"; bassist is Steve Tucker.  This was recorded live at Coolfont Resort

near Berkeley Springs, W. Va.

This is actually an aria from Gershwin's 1934 opera "Porgy and Bess", but has largely

been taken over by Americana music as a popular standard.  This version exudes drama.

Barry does his normal exquisite singing on this rendition; also of note is the blues

inspired Martin guitar; the lead work remains a personal best.

Start your hot July 4th with this very cool version of "Summertime"!
