[dcab-l] Hey folks, DCBU's honoring Leon Morris with a Birthday Bash this Sunday!

Leon Morris has had a great influence on our community as a performer and instrumentalist over a long and distinguished career.

If you haven't attended any of our bluegrass birthday bashes, starting with Bob Perilla,  with subsequent events honoring Carol Swam, Tom Gray, Mary Cliff and Tom Knowles,  you've missed some great times and music.

As bluegrassers, we truly stand on the shoulders of giants, and DCBU has gathered the community to give them some well deserved local love and thanks. Its great to see old friends get reacquainted after years apart, as well as the younger crowd connect with the folks who helped to make this great musical community what its is.

They turn out to be memorable.

Bring an instrument and jam before the stage show. The event starts at 4, but the doors will be open before then.

Our host band- King Street Bluegrass- will start the stage show at  6 with a set of super bluegrass and will have guests sit in.

It being Leon's 89th birthday celebration, we'll have cake at 6:45ish so you dont want to miss out on that!

Leon and friends (Associates, we'll call them!) will take the stage for a set after cake.

Its FREE and its for Leon. Join in on the party and lets do this right!

Who: You, and your DC Bluegrass friends. Free show, great music. Spread the word.
