The New Deal Cafe opened in 1995. It was named in honor of Works Project Administration, a part of Franklin D. Roosevelt's Depression-era New Deal, which built the city of Greenbelt. The cafe is a multiple award-winning venue that embraces diverse genres and bands throughout the region. Reservations are strongly recommended for nights with live music.
