Friends of Christmas 2022:

This is the 14th year my son Woody and I have recorded a Christmas Carol.  Others

we've done in years past, and available on the link below:

2009 "Star of Bethlehem"

2010 "Silent Night"

2011 "Silver Bells"

2012 "Blue Christmas"

2013 "White Christmas"

2014 "Winter Wonderland"

2015 "The Friendly Beasts"

2016 "Away in a Manger"

2017 "The First Noel"

2018 "Jingle Bells" and "Santa Clause is Coming to Town"

2019 "Feliz Navidad" and "Holly Jolly Christmas"

2020 "Silent Night" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"

2021 "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear" and Do You Hear What I Hear"

For 2022 we've recorded "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day".   Woody did the

recording, mixing, played harmonics (bells) on his guitar;  Dad sang lead and played the

guitar and bass.  I used an 09 Martin Marquis for guitar, and my Gold Tone acoustic

bass for the bottom end.

" I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" is a poem by Henry W. Longfellow, written in

1864 and set to music; one of the few to have a melody supplied.  (His brother Samuel

was a writer of hymns, and the two are sometimes confused.)

In a larger score, the bass resembles the ringing of a bell.  The last four bars emanate from an old "Amen".

Please enjoy, and we wish everyone a happy and prosperous Holiday Season!
