Friends of Christmas Present:
Here's a new “All Mixed Up” Christmas song, this one from a live performance.
Musicians:
Barry Wendell Rhythm Guitar and Harmony
Ed Schaeffer Martin Guitar and Vocal
Greg Nelson Bass
The parish priest of the little church of Arnsdorf, Austria wrote the words for this
beautiful Christmas song on the day before Christmas Eve in 1818. Mice had
eaten the bellows of the church organ. This priest and organist were sadly
troubled by the lack of music for Midnight Mass, but when the organist, Franz
Gruber, heard the words by Joseph Mohr, he set them to this lovely music now
so familiar to us all.
