Sexton Music Studio Virtual Open House tonight 7pm
So, about opening the studio for in-person lessons: We're just not there yet. Cases are on the uptick, and it's just not to where we're comfortable yet for student safety or ours. But fear not! We're planning, and we're going to have a very special Virtual Open House via Facebook Live on December 4th at 7pm. Holy smokes, that's tonight! Please feel very highly encouraged to pop in. The link is https://www.facebook.com/sextonmusicstudio/live/, and the Facebook Event page is https://www.facebook.com/events/2779144249072874. You don't need a Facebook account to tune in. Here's what we'll be going through:
* A virtual tour of the studio and all the new improvements that Bull Run Unitarian Universalists and us have made to the space.
* A run-down of safety precautions we're preparing to take for when it's safe.
These include but are not limited to temperature checks, hand sanitizer, ventilation improvements, security improvements, socially distanced lessons, larger lesson spaces, mandatory mask usage, limits on number of people in space, HEPA H13 Filter use, deep cleaning, and outdoor lessons when suitable.
* A complimentary demonstration and mini-lesson on violin, viola, cello, bluegrass fiddle, and piano.
* A demonstration for students about how playing violin differs from playing bluegrass fiddle!
* Details on joining a wait-list for in-person lessons, if folks are just interested in in-person lessons and not virtual lessons, due to whatever reasons they may have.
* I'll play some tunes. Y'all like tunes, right? Right.
* And of course, virtual lessons via FaceTime, Skype, and Zoom are ongoing and have been really successful. Call/text me at 703-975-5075 or email chris@sextonmusicstudio.com with any questions, comments or suggestions - I'd love to be in touch!
