[YEP-DC] YEP-DC Event: Read Across America, Thursday, March 1

Our Adopt-a-School Partner, Ketcham Elementary School, is hosting Read Across America Day next week in celebration of Dr. Seuss. This year they'll be having a fantastic reading event on the morning of Thursday, March 1, from 9-10:15 a.m. Students and staff will be wearing Seuss-inspired costumes and we'll be logging ourreading time as part of D.C. Public School's Three Million Minute Reading Challenge.

If you are interested in participating, please click the link below to fill out your information, and include Young Education Professionals-DC as the organization.

Volunteers usually visit classrooms in pairs to read one or two Dr. Seuss books to our students, and may also help teachers with fun Seuss-themed activities. All classrooms from PK3-5th grade will enjoy a reading.
