YEP-DC recently conducted a survey to find out how members feel about current issues in education, and the results indicated that the vast majority of us are dissatisfied with the status quo. In addition to frustration with the way education issues are being addressed (or not addressed) in the presidential election, members expressed concern about how poverty and inequality limit the promise of even the most effective classrooms. But despite these challenges, members reported feeling optimistic that local efforts to counteract them can be successful.
