[YEP-DC] Recruitment and Talent Manager at Scholar Academies -WA, DC

Position Summary

DC Scholars is currently looking for a Talent and Human Resources Manager to support work at their two DC campuses: DC Scholars Public Charter School and DC Scholars Stanton Elementary School.

Job Requirements

Your Work

Sourcing

Develop and execute a regional sourcing strategy to continually attract high-quality candidates to DC Scholars schools by:

·         Building a robust, high quality, diverse pool of candidates to fill positions

·         Posting information about job openings on the internal website and external websites/job boards

·         Tracking the effectiveness of specific sources and finding innovative ways to maximize sourcing pipelines & partnerships

·         Planning and coordinating recruitment and networking events

·         Utilizing social media and other online recruitment and networking tools

·         Developing content for the external communications

·         Managing partnerships with teacher and leader pipeline programs and stakeholders

Candidate Review

Utilize DC Scholars selection criteria in order to present exceptional pools of qualified candidates to School Directors by:

·         Screening online applications according to selection criteria

·         Conducting phone screens according to selection criteria

·         Building rapport with qualified candidates to deepen their interest and investment in our network

·         Communicating with all applicants in a timely and professional manner

Communication and Collaboration

Ensure the improvement and dissemination of DC Scholars' talent practices by:

·         Adopting and implementing systems and tools

·         Supporting School Directors in designing and executing campus-based selection plans

·         Collaborating with School Directors to review candidate progress and support movement into onboarding

·         Serving as a School Director thought partner on talent management and team development

·         Providing regional leaders and School Directors frequent updates on talent pools in order to inform decision-making

·         Working with members of the regional and school based teams to extend and enhance the Scholar Academies brandWorking with School Directors and leadership teams to assist with thoughtful retention planning aligned to school goals

·         Distributing, tracking and analyzing annual talent data sources (including the Insight survey and exit interviews) to inform annual planning

Human Resources

Serve as a resource to new staff members around human resources initiatives by:

·         Working in partnership with our operations team to revise and improve our HR policies, procedures and packages

·         Supporting candidates with regional human resources and certification requirements

·         Obtaining certification, clearance and other compliance related documents

·         Tracking and organizing onboarding paperwork for all new hires

·         Developing and maintain an organizational system for data collection

·         Communicating and connecting team members to critical onboarding requirements

 

Experience

·         At least three years of relevant work experience, prior teaching experience highly preferred

·         Bachelor's degree

·         Outstanding organization skills and detail-orientation

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

·         Exceptional customer-service and interpersonal skills

·         Demonstrated ability to cultivate networks, build relationships and motivate others in order to achieve results

·         Must be resilient, persistent, collaborative, and professional

·         Ability to work well independently, as well as in a tem

·         Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects in a deadline driven environment

·         Demonstrated professionalism

·         A positive, high-energy attitude, the ability to problem solve and a drive for excellence

·         Passion for education reform and a commitment to close the achievement gap between racial, ethnic and economic group
