[dcab-l] Pequea Creek Campground Jam July 8 & 9

Pequea Ceek Campground, 86 Fox Hollow Road, Pequea, PA 17565 is holding a country/bluegrass weekend on July 8th and 9th.  This is the first time they're trying this, at my request, and I hope it's a success.  They are counting on campers and guests to provide the entertainment.  Their pavilion will be open and I would expect jamming throughout the campground.  This event is open to registered campers only, but guest performers are encouraged to attend, as well. Quiet hours for this event are 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM.  They usually start quiet hours at 10:00 PM.  I lobbied for at least midnight, but compromised for 11:00 PM!  I'll try to answer any questions.  I plan on camping all weekend and would love to meet any DCAB-L'ers who attend.  Just ask for me at the pavilion.

Hope to see you there,

Mike...

P.S.  Their website address:  http://www.pequeacreekcampground.com/

[dcab-l] Fwd: Gig for party on 7/29

FYI - forwarding to the list...dj

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Teal Thompson <tealruland@gmail.com>
Date: Tue, Jun 21, 2016 at 1:38 PM
Subject: Gig for party on 7/29

Hello,

I found your contact info on dcbu.org. I'm looking for a bluegrass
group to play for 1-2 hours at my husband's surprise 30th birthday
party. We live in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, and I'm
looking for an acoustic duo, trio, quartet, etc. to play during the
party. We're both huge fans of bluegrass, and it would be a fabulous
surprise for him!

The party is on Friday, 7/29 and starts at 7:00; he'll arrive around
7:30. I'd like to have music from 7:30-9pm, if possible. I have a
humble budget of about $200, and it will need to be an acoustic set.
I'm flexible with the length of time playing, if that would help with
my budget.

Are you the correct point of contact for this sort of thing? If not,
would you please point me in the right direction?

Thank you!
Teal
