The next DC Bluegrass Union VFW Bluegrass Jam will be Monday, October 17, from 7:00-10:00 PM, at:

[YEP-DC] YEP-DC Next Steps Professional Development Series - Starts Tuesday! Sign-Up Today

YEP-DC is launching the 2nd annual Next Steps Professional Development Series! Whether you're just starting out in education, are new to D.C., or just want a build your skillset, our Next Step Professional Development Series can help jumpstart your career! Join us for this four-part series as we engage D.C. education professionals around their best tips for navigating the D.C. education landscape, conquering the job search and boosting your networking skills. As a bonus – we'll also invite top policy experts for a candid discussion following the Presidential election on the impact the election will have on the education landscape in D.C., as well as how the Every Student Succeeds Act will shape the policy landscape.

The first session, Navigating the D.C. Education Landscape, will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.

Additional sessions include (all on Tuesday):
  • Nov. 1: Networking Knowhow
  • Nov. 15: Education in 2017: Your Cheat Sheet to the Election, ESSA and What it Means for You
  • Nov. 22: Conquering the Job Search: Resumes, Interviews and Everything in Between

  • Non-Members: $60 for the entire series
